I don't think any of my wild goose code ever shipped on anything aside from that hideous SDAP head patch--which shipped on far more machines than it ever should have thanks to Seussy's attention span. Unless somebody finally pilfered that partition resizing stuff from StorageMaster I wouldn't say I accomplished anything there.

Nevertheless, I will forever curse you for helping to bring that chromatic aberration simulating sub-pixel silliness to my screen! Between that, 6-bit dithering displays and ColorSync's refusal to grow up (FSSpecs? Still? Seriously?), Apple is annoying photographers much faster than they can drop Aperture's price.

Great interview! Cool to get an insider's view. Amazing that Steve Jobs has such a hands-on approach. The end result is often awesome, though.

[...] Interesting interview from Storie di Apple.it that covers at Apple, disc burning, and filesystems: My friends and I developed the CD/DVD burning technology at a company outside of Apple, and we were acquired. It’s a little crazy to think about this, but iTunes had no support whatsoever for CD burning at the start of November 2000. The paperwork for the acquisition finished up in the middle of that month. Six frantic weeks of development later, we had integrated it into both iTunes and the Finder in Mac OS 9 in time for it to be shown at MacWorld [sic] San Francisco in January 2001. It shipped to customers later that month. [...]
